Processing in your browser
This prototype uses local rules to generate questions and a report. It does not call OpenAI or send your brain dump, clarification answers, or report to an HN server. The page holds them while you work. New idea clears the working input and report. Browser history or session restoration may preserve a page; this is not a secure erasure tool.
When AI mode is enabled
The checkbox on Product Lens asks for permission before transmitting your brain dump and clarification answers through HN’s Cloudflare Worker to OpenAI. Two calls are normally used: one for useful questions, then one for your report. Retrying sends the input again. Cancel stops waiting and attempts to stop the connection, but cannot retract a request already sent or guarantee processing or charges stop.
The HN application does not write ideas, answers or reports to storage or logs. It retains aggregate daily request counts, monthly budget reservations and a bounded acceptance-test count for abuse and cost control. Cloudflare processes your IP address for rate limiting and technical connection data. OpenAI processes your content and technical usage data under its API policies. API data is not used for training by default unless the account opts in. Standard abuse-monitoring data may be retained for up to 30 days, or longer where legally required; model-dependent temporary cache/processing state may also remain. Response storage is disabled, but this is not a Zero Data Retention guarantee. OpenAI data controls.
The optional project handoff
Choosing Bring it to HN temporarily places your original idea and a compact report summary in this tab’s session storage to prefill the project form. The form removes that saved handoff when it reads it and rejects handoffs older than ten minutes. Unused data may remain in session storage until the tab session ends. New idea also removes the saved handoff.
You decide whether to send
The project form prepares a brief for review and copying. Opening your email app passes the prepared draft to your chosen email service, which may save drafts under its own policy. HN receives your inquiry only when you send the email. Printed reports, PDFs, and clipboard copies are yours to manage. Avoid including confidential or personal details you do not have permission to share.
Website visits
Website hosting may process ordinary connection information such as IP addresses and requested page paths. The Product Lens application has no analytics or payload logging code. That does not establish the hosting provider’s retention settings.
Mode and control
The entry page identifies whether you are using the local prototype or AI analysis. AI mode requires the consent checkbox before transmission. Do not submit sensitive client data unless you have appropriate permission and have reviewed these terms.
