Effective September 8, 2026. Submission is optional and does not guarantee publication.
What you may provide
If you choose to submit writing, you may provide your name, email address, the title and category of your work, the writing you submit or a link to it, and an optional message.
Your ownership
You retain ownership of your original work. By submitting it, you give Hardly Notable LLC permission to review it for possible publication. Any additional permission required for publication may be addressed with the contributor separately.
How submission works
The website opens the email application or email service you choose. Hardly Notable does not silently transmit a submission in the background. Review what your email contains before sending it.
How information is used
Submission information is used only for editorial review, communication with the contributor, potential publication, and administration of accepted work. Hardly Notable LLC does not sell submitted personal information or writing.
Retention and deletion
Unpublished submissions may be retained for editorial review for up to 12 months. You may request deletion sooner by emailing support@hardlynotable.com.
If a piece is accepted, Hardly Notable may retain the submission and necessary contact or publication records for as long as reasonably necessary to publish and administer the work.
Third-party services
Your chosen email application or email service operates under its own privacy policy. Do not include another person’s personal information without appropriate permission.
Security and changes
Hardly Notable takes reasonable steps to limit the information collected and use it only for the purposes described here. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
